Color: Pale straw with a very slight tinge of pink on the edge. You can imagine some of the berries being slightly pink (that's where the term "gris" comes from due to the slightly pink-skinned berries). Aroma: Lots of mango, with white peach and lemon. Flavor: Honey and lemon come to mind immediately with very ripe mango in the middle and an ending of d'Anjou pear. Maybe a hint of cinnamon and other exotic spice. Nice beginning with a rich middle palate. Edgy in an intriguing way. Finishes with a feeling of richness and yet nice, clean acid leaves you wanting more. Food Pairing: Spicy Shrimp Curry, Goat Cheese Quesadillas with Chipotle and Mango Salsa, Quiche Lorraine.
