Micky Finn's Announces Free Bartending Classes At South Side Location
If you've ever seen a truly talented bartender at work, you quickly realized that bartending is more than just pouring drinks, it's both a science and an art. The tools, ingredients, methods and the presentation are all part of a long tradition of proper pouring and mixing that has been honed into a science in and of itself over the course of many years. But it is also one that constantly evolves and expands as new drinks, combinations, ingredients, and products appear.
Indeed, it is the creative element of bartending - new drinks, presentations, and ideas - that provides the artistic element to the skill set.
But there are also many other details handled by bartenders that may go unnoticed if you're not paying close attention. A good bartender has to know the tools available, drink terminology, proper health and safety precautions, and how to adapt to slight changes in available ingredients or quirky orders.
Thankfully, these are all skills that can be learned. In fact, if you are interested in learning the ins and outs of bartending, you're in luck.
Micky Finn's is now offering a series of Bartending Workshops ranging from Beginner to Intermediate and Master level. All workshops will be open to the public and both the Beginner and Intermediate classes will be completely Free.
Available slots, however, are limited, so you'll want to sign up for your spot quickly. You can sign up by sending a message to Micky Finn's via the company's Facebook or Instagram page or simply by calling the South Side location (843) 413-1182.
All Beginner and Intermediate workshops will be held at the Micky Finn's South Side location at 550 Pamplico Hwy. Florence, SC 29505. The classes will be taught by both former and current bartenders, all Micky Finn's staff members.
The company's goal with the new Bartending Workshops is to take individuals with little to no experience in bartending and provide them with a lifelong skill set that will enable them to embark on a new career or simply pick up a side job on the weekends.
In Micky Finn's statement announcing the new Workshops the company asked, "Are you ready to learn the art of Mixology and Bartending? Give us 3 weeks and we'll give you a new side hustle/career!"
Of course, you don't need to be in the market for a new career to attend the Bartending workshops. Curiosity and learning a new skill is a good a reason as any.
Micky Finn's stated that the Beginner level classes will teach
- Health and Safety Precautions
