Micky Finn's Releases Huge Bourbon Barrel Picks Program - Available Now

For those who enjoy finding rare bourbons and unique liquors, Micky Finn's has always been the number one stop. For years, Micky Finn's has carried a wide array of specialty liquors, bourbons in particular, and products such as allocated bourbons, rare brands, and barrel picks have long been a staple of the Florence area institution.

Now, however, Micky Finn's has upped its game with the announcement of a huge selection of Barrel Picks now available at all three locations, with even more products to come. Each product is privately tasted and selected, guaranteeing the best of the best from each distiller, and a unique taste that can only be found at Micky Finn's.

Below are a few of the products now available at all three Micky Finn's locations:

Boykin Rye

This 100% rye whiskey is a very limited release from Broad Branch Distillery. Bottled in Bond,Boykin Rye Whiskey offers up an aromatic nose with hints of eucalyptus, allspice, and candied fruit. Immediately sweet and warm on the palate, with apricot, plum, and toasty oak. Long and lingering finish.

Angel's Envy

This selection in finished in Port wine barrels and bottled at 110 proof. Dark amber in color, nose of toasted nuts, vanilla, and caramel. Palate offers vanilla, ripe fruit, and dark chocolate. Clean, lingering finish with port notes.

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof

This 122.5 proof offers sweet vanilla, toffee, and almonds on the nose. On the palate you find dark plum, caramel, all with a pepper counterpoint. Long warm finish with a hint of butter cream.

Elijah Craig Single Barrel

Bottled at 94 proof, this Bardstown Kentucky bourbon offers a nose of vanilla, sweet fruit, and a hint of mint. Smooth and warm with oak, caramel, and baking spice. Toasty sweet finish.

Hillrock Bourbon

Produced in the Hudson Valley of New York, This whiskey uses the solera method of aging and fractional blending to create a wonderful bourbon with an average age of 6 years. A fairly high rye bourbon, it was then finished in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. Nose of dark fruit, rye spice, with floral notes. Deep and complex with sweet dark fruits, cherries, vanilla, and caramel. Lingering finish.

Bulleit Single Barrel

Bottled at 104 proof. This straight bourbon has a 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malt mash bill. Warm nose, with vanilla, caramel, and orange zest. Sweet on the palate, with peppery oak and cinnamon. Finish with pepper, spice and oak.

Jefferson Reserve

This straight bourbon is bottled at 100 proof. Dark auburn in color with sweet vanilla, cooking spice and a hint of tobacco on the nose. Creamy mouth feel with toasted oak, caramel, and dried orange peel. Medium finish with vanilla and spice.

Paul Sutton 6 Year

Bottled at 115 proof and aged 6 years in a number 4 (alligator char) barrel, this Kentucky bourbon has a creamy vanilla nose with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Big and bold, with brown sugar and caramel on the palate. Long vanilla, honey, and cinnamon finish.

Knob Creek Single Barrel

Bottled at 120 proof, and this 10 year old bourbon offers caramel, thick oak, and a hint of toasted marshmallow. On the palate, sweet vanilla, light oak, and crème brulee. Long finish with aged oak, spicy rye, and a touch of leather.

The Senator

Distilled in Indiana, this straight rye offering from Proof and Wood has a 95% rye, and 5%malted barley mash bill. Aged a minimum of 6years in new charred American oak, and bottled at barrel strength (117.04 proof).Beautiful amber color, with cinnamon, mint, citrus, and a touch of leather on the nose. Earthy and dry, with oak, caramel, and a hint of toffee on the long finish.

The Representative

Distilled in Indiana, this straight bourbon offering from Proof and Wood has a 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley mash bill. Aged 4 years (2 congressional terms) and bottled at barrel strength (115.28 proof). Oak, caramel, and dark fruit on the nose. Soft on the palate with hints of cinnamon, spicy wood, and dried fruit. Nicely balanced and complex.

Rebel Bourbon

Distilled and bottled in Bardstown Kentucky, Rebel is a wheated bourbon bottled at 113 proof. Nice ruby color with a pleasant vanilla cinnamon nose. Sweet on the palate with toffee and brown sugar. Balanced, complex finish.

Six & Twenty Old Money Cask Strength Wheat Whiskey

Made in Piedmont, South Carolina with only local soft red wheat. This wheat whiskey is aged in new charred barrels for three years and bottled at cask strength (119.8 proof).Nose of fresh bread, hay, and vanilla. Soft clover honey on the palate, with smokey oak and cinnamon. Long bold finish.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

Woodford Double Oak is first aged in new oak barrels, then put into another new toasted and lightly charred barrel for an additional period. 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley mashbill. Dark caramel, vanilla, and toasty oak on the nose. Oak and sweet vanilla with hints of leather and dark fruit on the palate. Long finish with burnt caramel and rye spice.

Tumblin' Dice Bourbon

Distilled in Indiana, this is a six year old bourbon with a high rye mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley bottled at barrel proof (116.64). Vanilla and dark fruit on the nose. Nice viscosity with brown sugar and graham cracker. Nice spicy rye balances out the sweetness. Long, lingering finish.

Yellowstone

Distilled and aged in Kentucky and bottled at102 proof. Nose of brown sugar, graham cracker, and a hint of mint. Big and bold on the palate with caramel, charred oak, and leather. Long spicy finish.
